Reading Recovery & CIM Information
Reading Recovery is an intervention program designed to specifically target skills needed by struggling readers/writers.  It is a 20 week intervention that prepares students to read on grade level and work instructionally/independently within the classroom setting.  This is an individual student program that meets 30 minutes a day.

CIM (Comprehensive Intervention Model) is a reading program that is designed from Reading Recovery but made to fit small group instruction.  This program is for K-3 students and meets 30 minutes a day.  Students meet in small groups (3-4 students per group) to work on reading and writing skills.

The goal of both programs is to allow students to learn reading/writing strategies/skills (specific to their needs) that will make them successful in the regular classroom.
